Description

Bulgaria, famed for its rich history and Black Sea coast, now falls under the Schengen visa regime (as of March 31, 2024). This means UAE residents traveling to Bulgaria for tourism need a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) unless they already hold a multi-entry Schengen visa. Good news – if you obtain a Bulgaria visa, it’s valid for all Schengen countries, and vice versa. BetterView Tourism helps UAE applicants navigate this transition seamlessly. We assist with the Bulgaria (Schengen) visa application via VFS Global, ensuring your documents and itinerary meet the requirements of the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Dubai (which handles visas in the UAE). Our team provides end-to-end support, from form filling to appointment booking, making it easy for UAE residents of any nationality to get their Bulgaria tourist visa and enjoy Sofia, Plovdiv, or Bulgaria’s ski resorts.

Special Note

  • Processing Time: 15 working days is the standard processing time for Schengen visa decisions

  • Stay Validity: Typically, first-time tourists might get a single-entry visa for the exact duration of their trip (e.g. 10 days), or a slightly longer window. If you need a longer stay (but still under 90 days), you should specify that in your application and ensure your documents (like insurance) cover the full period. Note: Bulgaria now counts toward your Schengen 90/180 days total

  • Visa Validity: Often, it’s issued with a validity matching your intended travel dates.

  • Visa Cost- Visa Fee: €90, payable in AED (about AED 360) for adult tourist visa applicants. This is the standard Schengen visa fee applied by Bulgaria. In addition, VFS Global charges a service fee of AED 120 per application
