UAE nationals get visa-on-arrival privileges in India, but expatriates must obtain a tourist visa in advance. India offers an e-Visa system for many nationalities, which can be done online without visiting an application cente​. Alternatively, a traditional sticker visa can be obtained through BLS International (India’s visa service centers in UAE).   • Stay Validity: 30-day e-Tourist Visa: Allows stays up to 30 days ,1-Year Tourist Visa: Allows multiple entries, with continuous stay of up to 90 days per visit (for most nationalities) or 180 days for some (e.g., US, UK may get 180-day stays). It’s valid 365 days from issue.

  • Visa Validity: The 30-day eVisa can have either a fixed validity (e.g., 1-30 April if you chose April 1 entry) or a window (they sometimes give a 30-day window from first intended entry). It’s usually valid for entry within a given month. The 1-Year eVisa is valid 365 days from grant and allows multiple entries; same for 5-year.

What we need from you?

  • Duly filled Indian visa application form. (BetterView will fill this online with your details and generate the form for you to sign.)

  • A clear scanned copy of your passport’s bio page (in PDF)

  • Photo: Digital passport-size photo (JPEG) meeting specifications (bright background, face clearly visible)

  • Some nationalities might need a No Objection Certificate from their home country embassy in UAE (for example, Pakistan nationals need a NOC from Pakistan Embassy for Indian visa). This is per Indian Consulate rule

  • A copy of your flight booking (or intended travel dates) and, if asked on form, your tentative itinerary in India.

Yes, except UAE citizens who get visa-on-arrival. All other UAE residents (expatriates) need to obtain a visa before traveling to India. India has made it convenient via an e-Visa system for many nationalities, which can be done online from the UAE.

e-Visa is great for short tourism and is done entirely online; the regular visa might be needed for certain nationalities not eligible for eVisa or for those needing longer validity or different visa types. BetterView will guide you to the best option for your needs.

If you have a 30-day e-Tourist Visa, you can stay up to 30 days from your date of entry (double entry allowed) – it cannot be extended beyond 30 day.If you have a 1-Year tourist visa (either eVisa or sticker), you can stay up to 90 days per visit .

If you use the e-Visa, processing is quite fast – many get approval in 2-3 days, sometimes even sooner. We recommend applying at least 7-8 business days before your flight.
