The United Arab Emirates (UAE) shares a border with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and is accessible via road. Several border crossings exist, some of which are restricted to citizens of the GCC. Traveling to KSA via bus is an option, as are private vehicles and those operated by the government or commercial companies.
Citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and France who hold diplomatic or official passports do not need visas to enter the country. If you are not a citizen of one of the countries that does not require a visa to enter Saudi Arabia, you can obtain a visa upon arrival or an electronic visa.
